    Modern Living - Robert Petril debuted Mod Life at High Point Market, a collaborative project using designers from around the world, including Kiersten Hathcock, founder of Mod Mom Furniture. The North Carolina-made collection of upholstered home furnishings reflects a fun, global and resolutely modern aesthetic.

    English Style - Designer Nina Campbell collaborated with Oomph to launch a collection of furniture and accessories this season. Oomph has introduced four new colors, exclusive to Nina Campbell, along with several unique surfaces chosen to complement Campbell’s fabric and wall covering collections, while remaining true to her English sensibility.

    Brush Strokes - M. Clement’s design studio looks to its home of New Orleans for inspired classical forms enhanced with exquisite hand-painted finishes. The handmade Clouet bowl reveals an artisanal meander pattern in bold onyx brush strokes with antique gold accents.

    Museum Quality - Kelly O’Neal of Design Legacy introduced his first licensed collection with Leftbank Art during the April High Point Market. The collection includes 40 original artworks by O’Neal, of which around 75% were created exclusively for Leftbank. O’Neal, who began collecting art when he was 6, also selected vintage pieces from his personal collection to be reproduced by Leftbank.

    Fab Flutes - Govino, the “go anywhere” wine glass maker, and Italian winery Ruffino have collaborated with Milan art design school Poli.design to create a resort-ready set of screen-printed flutes perfect for sipping prosecco. With the design inspired by the Italian tradition of al fresco entertaining, these sunny, effervescent flutes are shatterproof, reusable and fully recyclable ($20, set of four).

    Classically Chic - Designed by Libby Langdon for Braxton Culler, the Cameron gives a modern twist to the classic club chair. Lighter and leaner, the updated design remains cozy and inviting while packing a graphic punch with bold, exuberant upholstery.

    Soft Touch - Homart extends its product lineup with the launch of both throws and rugs this season. Kantha-stitched throws offer a lightweight yet lofted cotton throw, enhancing the graphic appeal of each throw with directional stitching ($150 each). The collection of kilim rugs is handmade by artisans from wool and jute, boasting bold, eye-catching patterns ($80 to $488).

    Life Style - Rudi Nijssen and Dominique Sente-Nijssen introduced Schwung Home at High Point Market, a new lifestyle brand of lighting, furniture and mirrors that blends classicism and modernism with an innovative bent. The artisan-crafted collection evokes a timeless, yet irrepressibly fresh sensibility, inspired by their world travels and passion for furniture and unique objects.

    Belle Fleur - V Rugs & Home has made its first foray into the world of scent with the launch of not one, but two home fragrance collections. Made in France, the first collection (shown) reveals simple, elegantly packaged candles, diffusers and room sprays available in three fragrances. Exquisite handmade porcelain vessels house candles in the second collection, which is made in the United States, and features four distinctive scents complemented by four different colored bases ($50 to $150).

    Tradition with a Twist - Luxury home furnishings company The New Traditionalists have named interior designer Sara Gilbane as the first designer in The Syndicate, a new private- label series featuring capsule collections designed by notable interior designers. Made in Connecticut, the collection features hand-applied artisan finishes, hand-tied upholstery and custom joinery methods.

    Great Ball of Fire - Vietri has collaborated with Bloomingdale’s to introduce an exclusive color, Sunset, in the Forma Italian stoneware collection as part of the store’s 100% campaign. Inspired by the rich and varying hues of the Italian sky and setting sun, Sunset lends fiery, enticing warmth to the hand-formed Forma line.

    Soft Line - Selamat has partnered with Australian-based soft goods company Rapee to present the latest Rapee collections in their High Point and Las Vegas showrooms. The expansive range of bold, vibrant and carefree designs includes pillows, bedding, tabletop and rugs which seamlessly complement Selamat’s collection of furniture and accessories crafted from natural materials.

    Fashion Plate - Inspired by floral motifs on a dress designed for Vogue magazine in 2006, the new Oscar de la Renta Coralina Collection brings haute couture to the table. Style-laden settings are a snap with this exuberant, bloom-bedecked tableware, including assorted plates, bowls, teacups, teapot, creamer and sugar.

    Cultural Legacy - The Museum of Arts and Design in New York presents Pathmakers: Women in Art, Craft and Design, Midcentury and Today, an exhibition noting the contributions of women to modernism in postwar visual culture. Featuring more than 100 works, Pathmakers focuses on influential artists, designers and teachers, including Ruth Asawa, Sheila Hicks, Eva Zeisel, Vivian Beer and Hella Jongerius, among others.

    Familial Tradition - French design house Pierre Frey celebrates its 80th anniversary with the launch of Pierre Frey, Inspiring Interiors. The 240-page book realizes the story of the maison with beautifully presented images of creation and production, museum installations and private homes decorated with Pierre Frey designs, narrated by the Frey family and their employees as well as leading interior designers.

    Stylish Sparklers - Iittala goes for the bling with Aarre (treasure in Finnish), a collection of mouth-blown wall jewels. Comprised of eight jewels in various sizes and shapes, the Aarre Collection reflects a collaboration with renowned Finnish designers Markku Salo, Anu Penttinen and Aalto+Aalto. Each ornamental knob can hang objects up to 11 pounds or can be mixed and matched to create an inventive art glass gallery at home.

    Luxe Lite: Jamie Young Company has introduced the Shade and Base in a Box Collection to complement her traditional mix-and-match lamp offerings. Young hand-selected and paired each lamp and shade, which ship in a single box, in a super-stylish lineup at a lower price point. Highlights include Indian block print motifs, richly colored glazes and distinctively textured detailing; each lamp comes with a pure linen shade.

    Tray Chic: Known for their lacquer trays, J. Fleet Designs introduces its first collection of birch wood trays. Proffering a clean, Scandinavian aesthetic, the trays showcase playfully modern motifs such as Gingko, Cherry Blossom and Morocco. Each tray is individually handmade from several layers of birch wood and is dishwasher-safe and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

    In Bloom: Amsterdam-based artist and designer, Mariska Meijers launched her latest collection, A Spring Affair, at Maison & Objet in Paris. Epitomizing the essence of springtime, this pretty, vibrant collection showcases watercolor-style prints and bold geometrics in seasonally lush shades of blue, green and light pink. Modern with a twist, the newest offerings come in wallpaper, trays, pillows, lampshades and tables.

    Bright Futures: Handmade by female artisans around the world, Prosperity Candle’s collection of soy wax, natural cotton wick and essential oil candles result in a clean-burning, beautifully made candle. Prosperity Candle is a social enterprise that creates employment for women refugees, supports female entrepreneurs and advocates for women’s rights. The Forever Candle – housed in an egg-shaped vessel which symbolizes renewal – comes with lifetime complimentary refills ($65 each).

    Rebuilding Furniture and Lives: Husband and wife Jon and Nikki Jason, founded Pivot to bring their skills as marketers and entrepreneurs to positively impact people that are disadvantaged. Pivot employs formerly incarcerated individuals to create new furniture and home accents from donated and recycled materials.

    Star Gazer: From Sieger by Furstenberg, the new Luna – To The Stars Collection of porcelain vessels reveals a sculptural aesthetic hand-finished in 24-karat gold. Inspired by the voyage of a spacecraft, the tapering conical form pays tribute to a space capsule with crisp precision. Available in three sizes, Luna is offered in pure white or black and white stripes.
