A new lamp, like this one from HomeGoods, is a quick way to update and modernize a room. I added a ceramic lamp here for some interesting contrast with the mirrored table and other wood and metallic accents. Sponsored post.

It's so much easier to get down to work in a beautifully decorated home office! Pale walls and white furniture provide a backdrop for big pops of color and mixed patterns (notice how you can successfully mix patterns when they are in the same color family). A white and gold campaign-style console provides the perfect place to hide extra office supplies and files, and floating shelves and beautiful accessories complete the transformation! {Sponsored by HomeGoods}

The Pink Lady is a delicious spring and summer cocktail recipe that is so refreshing and simple to make: mix 6 oz. raspberry vodka with 12 oz. raspberry lemonade (I use the bottled pink lemonade from HomeGoods, but you can also use other storebought brands--or even make your own). Add 1-2 T. sugar or simple syrup to taste. Shake over crushed ice and strain into chilled glasses rimmed with sugar. Garnish with a paper straw, raspberries, lemon slices, and fresh mint. Serves 2. Enjoy your happy hour! {Sponsored by HomeGoods}

Create a restful master bedroom retreat using a soothing palette of grey, white, and silver. HomeGoods is a great source for coordinating bedding and throw pillows (plus a white matelasse coverlet goes with everything! if you change your color scheme in a few months or years). Stacked books in a geometric mirrored tray on a side table keep bedtime reading within reach, and a mini chandelier adds a touch of glamour. {Sponsored by HomeGoods}

Decorating with green is the easiest way to bring freshness into your home. Design Tip: Start with decorative pillows to instantly transform the look of a sofa. Next, add fresh flowers or succulents to brighten up your space. (Sponsored Pin)

All of us seem to need more storage....and HomeGoods had this beautiful bookcase to solve the problem beautifully. This simple yet classic style could work well in many areas in the home. Here we placed it in the family room for display purposes. We also see it as an amazing place in the kitchen to stack dishes or used to set up a coffee bar. The bottom two shelves house containers full of magazines and unsightly odds and ends, while the other shelves are a fun spot to display changing decor. Sponsored by HomeGoods

This bathroom is furnished beautifully. Gorgeous in all details: flooring, cabinets, hardware, and countertop. We went to HomeGoods to compliment the look with accessories. The towels are perfect in this space. Not only are these towels functional, their colors and pattern accentuate the granite countertops and add focal interest to the space. The green faux topiary brings an organic softness. The glass canister is a great storage space for the soap, but in this case the soap enhances the color scheme as well. Sponsored by HomeGoods

These wingback chairs from HomeGoods are perfect for so many decorating spaces. Here they are gathered into a cozy circle, ideal for intimate conversations, quiet cups of coffee, or a place to get together for wine or cocktails. The amazing colors on these throw pillows brighten the spot even on grey days. The faux green pears add another pop of color inviting guests to sit, relax, and stay awhile. Sponsored by HomeGoods

Mixed metal finishes can work well together! Silver nailhead trim (on the aqua and white loveseat) is paired with an antique brass/ gold butler's serving tray/table from HomeGoods (the mirrored tray actually detaches from the stand so that you can use it as a serving piece when you're entertaining--they're also great for bar items). This is actually a preteen girl's room, but the sophisticated aqua, brown, and coral color palette would work well for all ages! {Sponsored by HomeGoods}

HomeGoods' giant white platter holds appetizers to nibble on, while their white tray is set for olive oil tasting. Their metal cart, complete with wheels, is an interesting place for the wine glasses to be. Put all together we achieved a casual relaxed vibe, perfect for outdoor entertaining. Create a welcoming space for relaxing or entertaining on your back porch, deck or patio by adding a basket full of throw blankets and extra pillows and a few containers of fresh herbs to use in spring recipes. Eating al fresco is much more pleasant when you use sheer curtains to keep the bugs away--just untie them when you're dining, then swag them back when you're finished. Your outdoor space doesn't have to be big to be functional and beautiful! {Sponsored by HomeGoods}

Aqua blue is a great color to take a little girl's bedroom all the way through the teen years--it works with browns, pinks, and a variety of metal finishes. Layering bedding and throw pillows creates a casual yet cozy look, and the aqua and white trellis lamp pulls it all together. {Sponsored by HomeGoods}
