Amazing Organic Weed Killer Spray. 1/2 gallon of Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 c table salt 1/2 tsp Dawn liquid dish soap Mix and pour into a spray bottle Spray weeds thoroughly. It makes 1/2 gallon for around $6.40 It worked better than Round Up killed the weeds on first application. The Dawn dish soap strips the weed of its protective oils so the vinegar can work with deadly force. Safe to use a yard used by pets

So if you watch this video you'll see tons of earwigs all counted out on a paper towel. But I had to listen to the whole thing to find out you just fill up a shallow bowl with oil and set it out in the garden.

Georganne, yes. We drilled very small holes every few inches for drainage. I should probably put that in the blog post! :)

I rehabbed a male squirrel in the past year. One other thing I discovered is that if you put pea gravel on top of the soil in any container, they will not touch it. They'll breeze over it like it wasn't there. They don't smell or feel the dirt. I really don't know why but they don't touch them. I have it on all my containers now.

oooo ... I just saw a landscaping job where there was pea gravel all around the garden beds. I wonder if that's why?
