Roll and Record Graphing Game (Firstgraderoundup)

Roll and Record Graphing Game allows learners to interact with graphing in a more fun way. Learners would be able to understand and apply basic concepts of probability with the rolling of the dice, select and use appropriate statistical methods to analyze data, and represent their data using graphs.

Make Graphing Fun!

Did you know that one year, I forgot to teach graphing? Oops! In an effort to make up for that big mistake, I created an entire math workshop unit that works to make graphing fun for students. It includes pictographs, bar graphs, and line plots, and students have SO much fun with the activities included! Read this post to learn more!

Videos that Teach Graphing

Graphing in 1st grade and 2nd grade doesn't have to be boring or tricky. Yes, there are a lot of concepts to teach within graphing but it can be accomplished successfully with the help of math videos that teach graphing. I like to use these videos as an introduction to the day's lesson. They cover everything from bar graphs, line graphs, picture graphs, data charts, tally charts, and more!

Bar Graphing

This is a great activity to help your students understand bar graphing. It also makes a wonderful getting to know you activity at the beginning of the year! You can compile the pages into a cute class book and place it in your classroom library for the children to look out throughout the year. It is a fun way for your students to learn about each other while practicing their graphing skills! #graphingourclass #bargraphing #ChalkDots
