A Tale of Two Cities. I read this book in Jr. High & really liked it, even though it's a sad story. This is taken from the very beginning of the book & is one of the best starts to a book that I have ever read.

He willingly gets ready to die in place of the husband (Charles Darnay) of the woman (Lucy) whom he dearly loves. He sacrifices his life for her and says these lines before getting executed.
