Don’t think I have properly shared the full process of how we painted out black doors and after a huge number of request here it is but be warned it’s quite a process.

We firstly sanded the door blanks beginning with 120 Sanded paper grit and after each cost increased the grit level ie:120mgs, 180mgs, 240mgs - the more finer you go the smoother the finish.

We then primed the doors used Wood Primer by spray. Apply thinned down oil based undercoat using white spirit. We went for a dark tone undercoat (if you cant find this mix in dark pigment) - we applied 1-2 coats with sanding in between.

For the finishing paint we used little White Walls Black Doors, Door Blanks, Ikea Renovation, Hallway Door, Wood Primer, Have A Lovely Evening, Bathroom Tips, Eggshell Paint, White Spirit
