To childproof a Christmas tree. Cut 2 slices of luan plywood 4 inches wide. Then cut deck spindles to the desired height (this one is 27" high/ 8ft tree). Attach spindles every 4". Cut one end of spindles on an angle to open up the view of the tree at the top rail. Paint to enjoy and decorate like the tree.
