Christmas Teepee Start with a teepee frame.  Lower a clip-on tent light inside.  Safety pin the flaps back.  Staple the first few Christmas tree branches on the teepee frame.  Add branches by twisting them to each other.  Now that it’s covered, start adding smaller branches until it is fuller. Then, add lights along with decorations.   Perfect for children to play inside before the presents as long as you decorate with unbreakable ornaments. Later, presents can be hidden inside.

To childproof a Christmas tree. Cut 2 slices of luan plywood 4 inches wide. Then cut deck spindles to the desired height (this one is 27" high/ 8ft tree). Attach spindles every 4". Cut one end of spindles on an angle to open up the view of the tree at the top rail. Paint to enjoy and decorate like the tree.
