Collage Sculpture

Sarah Bridgland received a BFA from University of Brighton in 2004 and an MFA from Royal College of Art in 2006. Her diminutive paper creations inhabit the territory between sculpture and collage. Old, vintage papers are compiled together then distressed by hand to resemble a topographic map. These colorful stacks are displayed in repetition in a shadowbox to suggest an abstract interpretation of the specimen cabinet, the first architectural abstract piece I've created in two decades.
