This is a work in progress and will be one of many portraits I hope to paint of redheads in the future. A week or two ago, I painted a Van Dyck study that featured a redheaded woman which was oddly satisfying to paint. Redheads make up only 2% of the world population and most are concentrated in Scotland (13%), where my grandparents immigrated from, and Ireland (10%).
