Do or Die: The Quit India Movement of 1942
On August 8, 1942, Gandhi launched the Quit India Movement, demanding an immediate end to British rule. With the call "Do or Die," India erupted in protests, strikes, and arrests. Though suppressed violently, the movement marked the beginning of the end of colonial rule.
