Pripyat city

Pripyat is an abandoned city in northern Ukraine, near the border with Belarus. The entire city was evacuated after the explosion of the nearby Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

back then it was extremely modern and full of all sorts of goods. It looks like a standard store to us, but in Soviet times it was unprecedented. Chernobyl, Exclusion Zone, Ukraine. Pripyat Town built 15 years before the Chernobyl reactor fire. The whole town was evacuated shortly after. The Chernobyl Reactor, towns, plant and environs just before the 20th anniversary of the nuclear disaster.

Located in Northern Ukraine, near the border with Belarus, Lenina Avenue was the main thoroughfare of Pripyat city, an abandoned city after the Chernobyl catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986.

Pripyat

The "visiting card" of Pripyat is the amusement park with the legendary Ferris wheel, carousel, children's driving track and swings. The official opening of the park was scheduled for 1 May 1986. However, just 5 days before it was due to open, an accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The frozen Ferris wheel became a sad and tragic symbol not only of Pripyat, but of the entire Exclusion Zone.
