It's made during steam distillation, it has more benefits then this recipe. My skin absolutely loves this rose water, so I make sure to utilize the free roses outside and have fresh rose water 4-5 months out of the year!  some recipes say just collect as many petals as you want, then fully cover with water. I typically do a 1:1 ratio of water to petals. As you will see, my rose water gained more color as it cooled. The color of your water depends on the roses used, any kind will work!
