We follow stories because of the characters. They are the driving force of any book, movie and TV show or comic. That's why authors and storytellers have to put extra care into developing characters that readers will love following. A character arc is the journey your character goes through, which forces them to change for better or worse. There are five ingredients to making these characters. These five factors are what dictates the theme and type of journey the character undertakes.
