This is a tracking and RVH (reverse vertical horizontal) drill that we did with one of our goalies. Ideally, this drill is for older goalies.
15 Week Bodyweight Goalie Training Program
This is a 15 week bodyweight training program designed by our NHL / pro training partner Jayme Pantekoek. For goalies without access to a gym.

Goaltender–Specific Skating Series: Drill 13 of 20
Once again we add a butterfly drop as part of the progression from Drill 12 last week, but this time the butterfly is only performed twice among the three steps in the pattern.
Goaltender-Specific Skating Series: Drill 7 of 20
When coming across the crease, it’s important that the goaltender move on a curved line – “coming through the middle” – as opposed to a straight one. This is based on the fundamental principles of establishing angle, depth and squareness to the puck.
Goaltender-Specific Skating Series: Drill 2 of 20
After debuting last week with a simple movement pattern to the top of the crease and back to the post, the second drill in this series simply adds a butterfly drop (BD) element to Drill #1.
Goaltender-Specific Skating Series: Drill 4 of 20
In the latest progression of our crease movement patterns, goalies add a butterfly drop to the triangle drill. Check out the video for more.
Goaltender-Specific Skating Series: Drill 5 of 20
This is an easy drill, as the video shows, with shuffles back and forth from post to post, yet depending on the age of the goaltender, many puck-stoppers have trouble with it.
Goaltender-Specific Skating Series: Drill 9 0f 20
The full crease arc shuffle is likely the single most common drill with which to begin crease-specific movement patterns.

Goalrobber Drill of the Week #10 (Dowel Training)
This goalie dry-land drill utilizing wooden dowels to develop quickness and speed. There are many more variations than what we have shown; however, this specific series has proven extremely beneficial to goaltenders. Make sure the goaltender directly catches the dowels out of the air and is following the objects with his eyes. Goalrobber Drill of the Week #10
