Sarahs Key - Tatiana De Rosnay One of the best written books I have ever read. Wondering when the world of the French Jewish girl of the past, and the American journalist woman of today will collide kept me up all night to finish this book.

Night - Elie Wiesel This is also one of my favorite books to teach. It's about a father and son trying to survive the concentration camps during the Holocaust. My students and I wrote to the author this past school year and he actually wrote back to us!
