Row of Phone Booths - we had these in the college dorms!
I remember going to the airport and checking every phone booth for dimes people had left. (It was a pretty good side business for a kid).
Phone Booths - There was just "something" about a telephone booth. You could shut the door, have a seat and make a phone call in peace, comfort and privacy. And you could actually hear the other person on the other end of the line perfectly, and you didn't have to shout into it to be heard over the street noise.

~ Childhood Memories
Remember when you had to have 2 car keys? My Chevette had two keys. Someone stole my purse and I could only get one key recut. I got the ignition key cut and just left one of the back doors unlocked. Good thing my car had the POS theft prevention system. (It was such a piece of s**t that not even the pigeons would take a crap on it. Even they had standards, it seems...)
YEP! I had forgotten I was old enough to remember this. Guess I really am old. The round one for the door & the square one for the ignition.

Dime Store - Glad I grew up in the days of "The Dime Store". Wood floors, items in those glass dividers, all those little doo-dads and cheap rings in that glass top case. Loved allowance day and heading to off to "Caudell's Variety Store"
Dime Store - Love the wood floors and the shopping baskets---brings back memories! I loved the Ben Franklin store in our neighborhood, where we'd buy paper dolls and penny candy and where, for $5, I could buy Christmas presents for my parents and siblings.
Dime Store = we had two in my small town: Duckwall's and Ben Franklin. Greatest place in the world for a kid!
Dime Store -- There was Ben Franklin, and Kresge's, and more whose names I can't think of... Remember this style of display, with thick glass bins on the counter?
We had 5 & Dime Stores, not Dollar Stores.
OH my god! Oh this brings back such fond memories. We had a 5 & 10 store down the street and I loved going there. Why can't stores look this fun now? Somehow its just not the same.
Catching crawdads for hours with my cousins at Black River.
My Cousin, Catch Crawdad, Crawdads Mi Brother
Spring was the time to catch tadpoles. Did this at a friend's farm, with our class. I remember about age 7, tripping and falling on the porch, with several Mothers carefully taking glass out of my wrists and knees, by the sink, and all I was really crying over was losing my jar full of tadpoles! -A LehrMiller
