how to make a perfect Tye-dye shirt

Ricochet and Away!: DIY no dye tie dye Tie dye with acrylic paint? :) lets go tie dye!

1. Brush or drip on bleach. Wash.    2. Wine red dye bath.  Wash.     3.  Brush or drip on bleach again.  Wash.    4. Mix up four dye colors - scarlet, wine read, royal blue, and purple.  Drip or brush on.  Can add some black dye if need to darken some areas.  Wash.    5. Let shirt dry overnight.    6. Add stars with acrylic paint or white fabric paint.  To set fabric paint, you can iron it on the reverse or toss in dryer for appx. 20 mins.    Done!

SPACE TSHIRTS -- start by bleaching a black T-shirt, then adding back dyes to create the nebula colors, and finally a white fabric paint to create the stars.

Use Beeswax to Waterproof Canvas Shoes: I LOVE this one, especially for beach season or rainy season. You can use a bit of beeswax to waterproof your shoes! Just rub the wax onto your shoes, blow-dry to seal, and you’re done.

This is My DIY flag shirt. Need a plain white or gray shirt. Cut out star stencils out of cardboard. Use navy acrylic paint to paint around the stars.  Use dark red for the stripes.  Voila! Flag shirt. For a more faded look, wash with bleach after it dries for 30 minutes.
