The art of making lines balance each other Kandinsky has here created a square balance across the page connecting them in a strong line. This line's balance is held by the black triangle in the bottom left corner and the line in the top right corner. Everything comes together in a balanced fashion making it pleasant to look at.
American Graphic Design This is the back cover of the famous MIT press Bauhaus publication, originally designed by Muriel Cooper in 1969, with additions in a reprinting in 1976. This publication went on through a fourth printing in 1980.
