Dear God, help us know that we might not see “results” in our lifetime, even when we are obedient. What looks like failure to us might look like obedience to You. Guide us to whatever you want us to do. Help us understand that some of what You’re calling us to do might outlive us. We surrender our lives to You. Amen.

During that meal, Jesus washed his disciples’ feet as a radical expression of his deep love for them. He held up the bread and wine and explained that His body and blood would be offered up for each one of them. Ideas, Wines, Running Tips, Disciple, Good Friday, Lifetime, Ministry, Soul, Journey

Last spring, I was lamenting with a friend that our kids had to live through a pandemic. My eighth grader was missing out on special class trips and graduation celebrations. Many seniors in high school and college were experiencing the same. Weddings had to be reimagined and funerals too. However, these last few months I have been reminded that my three daughters and all the young people of this generation were chosen for such a time as this.
