He facetted multiple viewpoints, combining them on canvas using overlapping angularity. These facets brought tension and expression of what lied beneath. Cubism was born. An unusual Saltimbanque by Picasso in dialogue with a Kazuo Shiraga. The Bridgestone / Ishibashi collection is full of hidden conversations between all its pieces. @museeorangerie until August 21.

As Monet painted light in all its spectral colors, Ishibashi built a comprehensive collection using his Bridgestone tires fortune. Layers by layers, from Japanese artists inspired by European Art to Impressionism, Modern and Post-war art, it's all there, acquired with the finest eye for rare yet representative exemples. The collection is on temporary exhibition @museeorangerie until August 21.
