Artist Rose-Lynn Fisher | project of analyzing different types of tears under a light microscope
Human Tear, Grief, Onions, Facts, Random, Pictures, Rose Lynn, Photo, Science
Random Pictures Of The Day - 84 Pics. Notice how tears of grief are empty inside just like how you feel when grieving
These are pictures of different dried human tears. Grief, laughter, onion and change. They all have a different chemical makeup, which makes them look different from each other.
On Rose Lynn Fisher's second project, Topography of Tears, tears of hundreds of volunteers were sampled, dried on the glass slide and captured under scanning electron microscope. Different types of tears produces different structural patterns. Tears are released due to emotions, irritation or natural protection by the eyes from dryness. They say, each types of tears have different components based on how they are released. Emotional tears contains enkephalins, body's natural pain killer. (c) Science Alert
The Microscopic Structures of Human Tears. This photo series by Rose-Lynn Fisher captures tears of grief, joy, laughter and irritation under the microscope. Tears aren't just water. They're primarily made up of water, salts, antibodies and lysozymes, but the composition depends on the type of tear. There are three main types - basal tears, reflex tears, and weeping tears. As you can see, they can look incredibly different when evaporated and placed under a microscope. Patterns in Nature | When a jumping gene "jumps" to different positions within the corn kernel, a color gene is "turned on" or "turned off" depending on whether it lands in a position next to a pigment gene or not. Barbara McClintock's discovery of these jumping genes in corn earned her the Nobel Prize.

I really love this fish scale inspired piece as it is very unique especially with the violet/plum colours! I personally love these colours and think they would fit perfectly in my expressive work.

✿ Small Giant Clams~Tridacna Maxima is a species of bivalve found throughout the Indo-Pacific.The attractive colours of the small giant clam are the result of pigment cells, which have a crystalline structure inside. These are thought to protect the clam from the effects of intense sunlight, or bundle light to enhance photosynthesis, the energy-producing process carried out by the tiny algae living within. Found in Africa, India, China, Australia, Southeast Asia and the islands of the Pacific. ✿
