Show kids that plants will grow towards the light by making a plant shoebox maze. credit: Plants for Kids. I also want to do a garden in a glass box so kids can see what goes on underneath. Part of science and discovery center. Can have them guess at the beginning what will happen and then document what is going on.

Laat aan kinderen zien hoe planten (in dit geval koolbladeren) vloeistof opnemen in hun bladeren. Hiermee is het heel mooi te zien. Gebruik water en (voedings)kleurstof om het goed zichtbaar te krijgen.

Kids would "get" the water cycle SO MUCH more if they did THIS instead of just read about it in a text book!! ...and so simple.

This is an awesome way to teach the water cycle. It would be a great idea for the take home kit because it is very easy for the students to do at home. You put water in a baggy and hang it on a window and leave it so you can see the condensation and draw the different cycles on the baggy to fit what was happening over time. -KT
