My DIY Projects: How To Make a Charming Handbag

Pinned from

loral Tote For a simple tote, cut about 10 yard-long strips of floral fabric in varying widths. Sew the strips together to make one large piece of fabric. Fold "fabric" in half, trim to desired shape, stitch sides and hem top, then finish with a large vintage button and a premade wicker handle from a crafts store. Free Bag pattern to download from Farbenmix...CarryAll is a huge bag that still drapes wonderfully around your body. Make one as your sports bag, one for weekend trips, or as a pool bag. The large front pocket makes finding little things easy. Make the bottom coming up on the sides from home deco weight fabric, imitation leather or laminated cotton. Therefore CarryAll is perfect for any outdoor activity! Beginners are recommended to make the version without a zipper and without the sew-in bottom.Since the zipper is simply sewn in between fabric pieces it is fairly easy to make. The best: CarryAll has a little sister and you can make a complete set of bags. There are different versions of the large and the small bag included in this pattern. Add a sew-in bottom or not, add a zipper, leave it out, there is a bag for each purpose and each skill level! The smaller CarryAll has an inside pocket and the bottom is different, still it is constructed in the same way as the large CarryAll. We think it is the perfect size for your everyday purse. Both bags offer plenty of room for decorating using ribbon, embroidery patches or appliqué.The outer pocket lets you showcase beautiful fabric designs! Small CarryAll: ca. 35 cm x 40 cm Big CarryAll: ca. 50 cm x 60 cm
