Most of the people and topics covered by this board are from Ireland, or they are Irish-manufactured cigarette cards. Top Irish brands (back in the day) included Gallaher, Imperial Tobacco and John Player cigarettes - all of whom had factories in Dublin. Goodbody's of Tullamore had branch offices in Dublin, Limerick and Liverpool - their brands incl. Bird’s Eye, Golden Flake and York River. The best known of the rough tobacco was Quaker Twist. The snuffs went by Cork, Brown and High Toast.
