Old picture of the so called Boleyn Castle, in West Ham, London/Essex. The castle was alleged to have belonged to the Boleyn family and was in a very convenient location for travelling between London and Rochford Hall, and further afield. This picture shows a portion of the decorated outer wall and a gatehouse or watchtower - the house stood further back from the road. The site is now the West Ham football ground, Upton Park.
