In her pool house, jewelry designer Elizabeth Locke's gem of a lap pool. Weru windows. Banquette cushions in Brunschwig & Fils woven; pillows in Jim Thompson silk. Prisma Architectural Lighting fixtures. Waterworks limestone flooring. I normally don't like indoor pools, but this one is so elegant!

The fanciest "bunk" room I've ever seen! But I love it! Isn't the ceiling great? The lights would be more practical for reading placed lower but they are out of the way here. Great use of space.

Powder room under stairwell... using every inch of space. I like the angled door

What a view! And a chaise to relax & enjoy it. Would need some lighting at night but a lovely scene during the day.

Ʀ o s e . C o t t α g e What a sweet room! The corner fireplace adds so much character & I like the headboard. I love upholstered ones with a bit of wood- the best of both worlds!

Designer Myra Hoefer's California home's unique library and office features a large table perfect hosting dinner parties. I adore the cabinet- I would have something less utilitarian looking for the table though.

Gorgeous Foyer

I love this! Lots of room for all your collectables & a cozy spot to sit & chat while the cook (that would be me unfortunately) cooks. Well designed.

I don't really like tvs over the fireplace, but I do like the way this one is done & the rest of the room. This option requires either a) reframing your room to create a niche in the existing wall, or b) planning ahead with a new build or remodel to create a place for the television.  Just those few inches really do make a difference and it’s a subtle way to use architecture to create a frame for the television.

An octagonal turret expands the end of the library and is set for scholarly pursuits with antique globes. Great masculine feel here. Love the window treatments.

White makes every room look bigger – especially this lofted attic space with a soaring ceiling – because it allows light to reflect. A wooden daybed nestles up to a row of windows, and the coastal color palette and woven carpeting keep the look feeling fresh and effortless.(I would want something to cover the windows when needed, but I love the feel of the room.)

Built-in daybed and desk area - what a beautiful view. Su Casa Designs. I would want something on the windows- I think it would be to bright sometimes, but I love the concept.

Would you care for tea & a scone?

A room with a view & books too!

My kind of space. I think a lot of it is because it will never go out of style. Classic design & good taste never does.

I don't normally like indoor pools, but I love this one! Just call James to fetch me a cocktail!.

This master suite sitting room is fabulous! Look at the woodwork- & the marble fireplace. I like the touches of Prussian blue. Old World elegance at its best.

Sophisticated entry. I love the rug- although it would probably be not too practical. Crisp & clean.

What a statement - gorgeous rug, wood floor, fantastic tables & arrangements, arch and to top is all off, French doors to the patio. Beautifully done.

Thomas Jayne: South Carolina entrance. Look at the wide front door leading out the the allee of oaks. The interior shows the elegance of long years of good taste.

French country dressing room.... Any woman would love this! Elegance personified.

I don't know that I've ever seen a fireplace in a hallway before, but it certainly is attractive. Wonderful architecture.

Looks like a lovely old Pennsylvania home with all that stone. Look at the wide floorboards- you know it's old. Isn't the arched door great too?
