You can freeze some animals in the ice so as it melts you can predict and see what animal will appear. A child 24-30 months is able to point to an item when it is described. A child 30-36 months is able to follow a 3 step direction. A child 2-3 years uses 'on', 'in' and 'under' e.g. the whale is under the ice, on the ice or in the ice.
