Aimee Major—She had an amazing personal web site for animators that I used to check every day while bored to tears at my 9-5 job. She was an animation student at CalArts at the time and her site really did inspire me to go after a degree myself. Sometimes Aimee gets into some niches of the animation world like costumes that are a little unfamiliar to me. But the worlds she creates through her drawings are totally magical.
Jackson Publick—I know him! Kind of. Well we worked together, but I was a lowly intern and he was the creator of a super successful tv show called The Venture Brothers on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Retro styles with an edgy sense of humor. yes and Yes!
Denise Albright my first boss in the creative world, taught me that it's not impossible for a girl to make her own way in the world and with a sense of humor too. Check out her line at Denise Albright Studio!
