This is one of my FAVORITE classroom management tools!! It can be soooo time consuming to answer the questions...Can we use markers?, Do we turn this in?, Is this a talking activity? I love using these assignment choice signs to answer those questions without me doing the work. Once I give directions for an activity, I quickly place checks and X's by the cards and my students know exactly where to look for the answer.

A Rainbow of me...FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Add duct tape to pencils to keep them from disappearing. Pinner wrote: I have been doing this for a few months and it has really helped! When pencils end up in my co-teachers'' classrooms they always make their way back.

hot glue a pompom on end of dry erase markers to use as an eraser. GENIUS!

One of my ALL time favorite teacher tips! Helps the panic of a new student...Then I can grab it and say "I thought you maybe joining us today." instead of "oh, we weren't expecting a new student.". It will get us off on the right foot. bags for a "New Student" ... so much better than scrounging for stuff every time a new student arrives!

Great motivator/incentive idea...not just for reading but this could be changed for math/facts or behavior, anything you can think could even have a list of ways to earn a bead rather than just one way. Simple but is sweet:)

Simply Sprout: Keep all of your student information at your fingertips. Just print the 5X7 image below onto card stock (right click and save the image and insert into a word document, place 2 per page and print) TEACHER TIP: I like to laminate cards, hole punch and attach onto a metal ring. You can keep student information at your fingertips throughout the year. Perfect for emergencies, field trips or quick contact information. Just hang on a hook by your phone in your room.

This is so cool- students draw self-portraits on index cards and a website turns them into t-shirts. (Each shirt $7)
