    Lest we forget

Orli Wald was a member of the German Resistance in Nazi Germany. She was arrested in 1936 and charged with high treason, whereupon she served four and a half years in a women's prison, followed by "protective custody" in Nazi concentration camps until 1945, when she escaped. She was a prisoner functionary in the infirmary at Auschwitz-Birkenau and because of her helpfulness to Jewish and other prisoners, was called the "Angel of Auschwitz".

this a picture of a true hero.

65 years after the war’s end, the u.s. holocaust memorial museum has undertaken a remarkable and poignant task: identify the more than 1,100 children in these photos, and find out what happened to them: rememberme.ushmm....

YIKES! In 1809, 46 year old Jane Todd Crawford rode 60 miles on horseback to see Dr. Ephraim McDowell who removed a 22 lb ovarian tumor through a 9" incision in 25 minutes (before anesthesia and antiseptic). Within a few weeks she got back on the horse, rode home, and lived another 22 years.

Marriann, so sorry for your father. These Jews are in heaven with God their Father and Hilter is in hell with his father. Lets make sure that this never happens again. Tell your children and show them pictures and tell them to pass it on.

I am not Jewish, but in visiting the empty camps of Auschwitz & Birkenau, I was in tears the whole time. My sister-in-law's mother was in a camp at 14 (took her father's place) and somehow managed to escape. At 89 now, she can still barely talk of the suffering.
