Space-saving, inexpensive activity table for kids. Round expandable dining table with leaf bought on craigslist ($5). Remove expansion brackets underneath. Cut 6 inches off the legs. Attach half of the table to wall with L-brackets (or screw a 1x3 piece of wood) into the studs in the wall.
Built-in shelving unit over baseboard heating. Elevate bottom shelf, add a curved sheet of aluminum underneath to direct heat out the front away from shelf and into the room.
