Front Yard Landscaping, Walkway, and Fencing Ideas

I have to landscape the front yard of my rancher... I hope to find ideas that aren't necessarily like the same ol' same ol'. Will also be adding a fence to the back yard, and some of it will have to be of a "pretty kind" as it will be seen. The rest will be of a "cheap" kind lol (it will be inside a lot of weedy growth) - just to keep the dog from running from the yard - chasing cats and other critters while she's out there with me!

Tar and chip driveway. This has an upscale look with the cobblestone edging. The raised curbing will work great. And although I like the look of the triple border, I would imagine this will take some upkeep.
