The Surreal World of Joel Robison Inspired by the love of a great novel, Canadian photographer Joel Robison has created this beautiful series of photos that inspire the viewer to curl up with a cup of tea and get lost in the world of a whimsical fairytale. The books in each photo function as props, landscape, or even architecture, bringing to life a surreal world that is both beautiful and simple. You can see more of Robison’s work over on Flickr.

Would make a great idea for a reading nook made to scale, wouldn't it?

Reading books

rcruzniemiec: Joel Robison Cranbrook, BC (a smallish town tucked in the Rocky Mountains) where Joel Robison lives seems like a magical place, not only do books and coffee cups come in reasonable sizes but also a whole universe of magical, whimsical and funny images for us to enjoy.

This picture feels eerily familiar although I'm sure I haven't seen it before. Some lovely art in your galleries, thanks for sharing it.

Have you seen paintings by Remedios Varo? They're hard to find, but beautiful, and just like the pictures on this board. Vampiros Vegetarianos is my favorite.
