Oh yes : ) My brother and I used to play this game and every balloon was a planet. When a balloon one would hit the floor, we would just move onto the next planet.so much fun back in the day. It didn't take much to entertain us!
Take a picture of each child holding a sight word. Then make a power point presentation with those pictures of each child holding the words, and use to practice sight words. Email the powerpoint to the parents so they can use it to practice at home
The First Grade Sweet Life: Reading Centers--pattern block sight words! Get some templates, write words on them, and the kids have to play in pairs--correctly saying each word (and using it in a sentence?) before they can cover it. Also for math shapes!
