Here's a great blog on cleaning and maintaining your home. I love how she has a notebook and goes through the house like a prospective buyer. List everything that needs attention. Why should your house only look great when it's up for sale. By breaking it down into managable lists, everyone can have a beautifully clean, well maintained home!
I WANT TO DO THIS ONE DAY! Worth reading- this sweet gal completed 38 "random acts of kindness" on her birthday to celebrate her 38th birthday. There are a ton of great ideas on here and you can't read without getting a little teary-eyed and wanting to do the same thing. /// this is super cool!
Mosquito trap - No more mosquitos!! Cut the top off a 2 liter bottle. Invert the cone and place it inside the straight part of the bottle. Glue the two pieces together. Add 1 tsp yeast and 1/2 cup sugar to some luke warm water, and pour the mixture into the bottle. Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide that you exhale. The yeast feeds off the sugar and emits the same gas, so the mosquito enters the bottle, thinking she will find food there.
De-tarnish ALL your silver ALL at once... line your sink with aluminum foil, add 1/2 c table salt, 1/2 c. baking soda, fill with hot water, then dump in all your silver! Let sit for about 30 min. The tarnish all transfers to the foil! Thanks, Susan Branch!
