Bulletin board for my ancient world history classroom

I really like this bulletin board. I can pick the countries that we will be discussing in class that day so that the students have a creative, visual display of the time period in history.

As students come across specific cities or states in the U.S. as they are reading books from the classroom library, they pinpoint them on the map using the colored tack that is designated for them on the map key. This is a great way to connect reading workshop to social studies!

Reading takes us places! This bulletin board idea has students put a pin in wherever the book they are reading takes place! Great idea for reading different worlds and words from different perspectives
