My teacher uses a Noise Meter similar to this one. The Noise Meter is a cool way to remind students the correct noise level that they should be using! You just use the paper clip and move it to the appropriate noise level the students should be using.
i LOVE this idea for encouraging kindness in the classroom community--there's also a picture book called "How Full is Your Bucket?" =) Already had to read the book, so this is fantastic, along with other great ideas!
I thought this was a really fun way to promote positive classroom behavior. Giving the children rewards for positive behavior but also letting them choose their reward is gratifying. This relates to extrinsic factors that really get students motivated.
reward whole class behavior. I have a cut out of a jar taped to my whiteboard. There are also a bunch of magnetic gems. When the class WOW's me, I add a gem to the class jar. When the class fills the whole jar, I let them vote on their class reward.
I Caught You Being Good Jar- This would be great for church, traveling, or just at home. Fill the jar up and there will be a BIG surprise at the end. For some kids it may take a few months, for others.not long at all. Even a great thing for Sunday Schoo
