Another version of the abandoned mansion known as "The Ruins" in Talisay City, Philippines. Dating to the 1900s and beautifully preserved as a tourist attraction, with meticulously groomed landscape and maintained grounds, it's a concept known as "stabilized ruins" in the United Kingdom as a way of preserving further deterioration but without the expense of trying to rebuild, restore and maintain the building.
Talisay City, Negros Occidental, known as The Ruins. built by Don Mariano Lacson, in memory of his first wife, Maria Braga, and is of Italianate architecture. The design includes an homage to the owner’s wife in the inclusion of their initials, moulded onto the mansion. sinigang <3 pork with sour tamarind flavored soup and vegetables! my boyfriend loves this! faveeeee!
Sinigang - Pork stew in tamarind broth famous for the variety of ingredients one can use as well as for its taste. Though considered a soup, it is not eaten as is, but rather combined as a viand with rice. Sinigang’s characteristic taste is attributed to the ingredient that gives its sour taste, not to the meat’s flavor.

(Filipino food from my childhood) Sinigang is a meat, vegetable soup/stew much like Corned Beef n' Cabbage or Caldo de Res. The broth is usually made to be sour/tangy by the use of tamarind, guava, or lemon. The meat can be beef, pork, chicken, or seafood. The vegetable is usually leafy greens. I prefer spinach but have used collard greens, mustard greens, or potato leaves, though I may try kale next time.
