Art and Craft - labors of my madness

This started out as a rock mound death trap with a wood platform off the back door. In process of reshaping, dry rock retaining wall around edges. Washing machine will have another home later. Now I have a path almost done, a garden bed almost done, later, a door height flagstone porch with shade cloth awning across the width of the house. MUCH later, roof reshaping and an alternative to the window A/C. It's taken months of one day a week labor and some hired work, but I am becoming a pro at the puzzle piecing of rocks and have lost 30 pounds.

This a done project- two sad and flat down mattress pads, combined into one and retufted- HEAVY!- but I am happily sleeping on it now as the memory foam underneath is too HOT, and it will keep me warm in winter

my first painting of my new age, about 20 years ago. I was struggling with proportions and had the epiphany that it was MY painting and I could paint it the way it came out with no one having the right to say boo about it. this is a photocopy of the original which was about poster size with slightly different composition, and a gift to a friend

I like seeing this in thumbnail because it just gave me an idea of how to fix the composition of it- this was done in oil pastel

There are three pink albatros in this small painting, I cna never make them stand out, so I am looking at a puffy 3-d paint

the rock facade I took down- it was coming off in some spots and very badly "grouted" between the rocks, a real mess, it had to go. I might redo something like it,
