Madame Tussaud's spare heads Ok so I hate dismembered doll parts. That isle at the craft store freaks me out. So this picture.... Yeah it's like one out of one of my worst nightmares!!! I couldn't even walk into that room!

German artist and graphic designer Matthias Jung rekindles our surreal thoughts with his spectacular photo-collages of surreal houses.
I love love love the imaginative houses by German-based graphic designer Matthias Jung. Photo art at its best! | via Style and Create
Mattias Jung - Surreal Homes German graphic designer Matthias Jung first constructed “surreal homes” as a boy, using scissors and glue in his father’s photo lab. In January, he resurrected this childhood project and created a series of dreamlike and structurally impossible collages with Photoshop. Taking photographs from his travels, Jung creates incongruous images that are intended to challenge perceptions of space and architecture.

Forget about enlightenment. Sit down and listen to the wind singing in your veins. Feel the love, the longing, and the fear in your bones. Open your heart to who you are, right now. Not who you'd like to be, but the being right here before you, inside you, around you. All of you is holy. You’re already more than whatever you can know. Breathe out, look in, let go • John Welwoo

Close View Of Fire Print By Brian Gordon Green
“May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
Fire. Well shabalabadingdong! That isn't good. Child of Demeter and fire is one big no no. Flames lick at my skin. I'm too paralyzed to move. I've come this far only to burn? Well frankly that sucks. Pain surges through me taking over myself. The smell of a fire fills my nose. I collapse as smoke covers as far as I kcal see. The last thing I remember is flames flickering as strong arms grab me. When my eyes open again I'm lying in a field. A familiar one. Slowly I sit up the familiar scene of home surronding me. Smiling I stand. I notice someone was lying beside me. Actually 4 someone's. there are four shallow compressions in the grass. I wander around not stopping to notice something's wrong. No campers are out. Well some are but they are dressed for war. I recognize them. The older ones. Ones that fought giants. And all of them have their weapons aimed at me. The approach me with caution. One of them speaks. "You're a monster. You are not welcome here." Tears threaten to spill. I can't speak though. My voice is lost. My home. I can't stay at my home. Glowing golden my eyes become angry. "THIS IS MY HOME TOO YOU KNOW. I'VE SACRAFICED MY LIFE FOR THE PEOPLE HERE" I turn towards the exit. A girl with flaming red hair blocks my path. Green mist swirls around her as she speaks "The flower shrivels replaced by the sky. A endless weight and a knife to the thigh. The sun burns bright and kills them all. Youth goes crazy and murders one who answers the call. Magic forces one against the five. At last only two retun alive." The flower. Me. The sun. Matt. That's all I can figure out besides the fact there is a prophecy. I take off into a sprint. Dashing past the borders and oracle I run. Run away from home. No monster is welcomed there. Not a single one. Somewhere back there a meeting is going on to determine the fate of the prophecy. And somewhere along they will realize that this prophecy includes me. Gasping for breath I wake up. Back in the woods. Scorch marks around me. And strong arms hugging me as I sit up to cry. Right then I realize my fatal flaw; acceptance. I grow to accept anyone, and anything but I fear not being accepted. I fear that I'm a messed up person in a messed up world. And I would do anything to gain acceptance. Even if it meant losing my life. I'm a monster in a world of demigods. Dreams are good for predicting the future. Well it's time to put that to the test. Slowly I stop crying and stand. Those around me follow suit. Caitlin, Belle, Jake and Matt. I tell them of my dream. Alls well until Jake draws his dagger and presses it to my throat. I smile sadly. "I don't know who you are but you've lied to me. I could kill you right now. Save everyone the trouble." I see Caitlin looking angry, Belle unsure and Matt murderous. I speak slowly putting every emotion into my words. "But you wouldn't do that to your own sister? The girl who was possessed, scarred, kidnapped, put through emotional damage, kidnapped again, tortured by acid, brutally murdered, brought back to life only to find her worst enemy alive, depressed, suicidal, nearly died again, kidnapped, and saved your butts nearly killing myself again?" Slowly he pulls away the blade. Hand trembling he brings it to his chest. He draws a x over his heart. Only then do I realize what it means. Victim. He will be possessed after me. So I will die. Heart shattering I watch as he pulls out a match. A used match. With that he drops to the ground. I work quickly as the others stare in shock. Pulling him onto my back I quickly grab everyone's hand and tell the to hold on. I picture the grassy meadows of camp. Slowly the scene shifts. It show camp back to normal as I set Jake down. And then I collapse into Matt's arms.
The old church burned down from a cigarette.

Задумался... — Люся Маратканова — AdMe Photo Awards 2014
Matthieu Bourel creates surreal collages that, despite their dream-like qualities, feel somehow rooted in reality. It might have something to do with his use of black and white photos, summoning up a specter of the past and lending a sort of mythic quality to his art. In some of his pieces, it almost feels as though…

Hamburg and its bridges: Architecture - Technology - History up til 1945. Exhibition until January 3, 2010 in the Hamburg Museum der Arbeit (Museum of Work) Hamburg's architecture is famous, but the bridges of the city are condemned to a shadowy existence, and wrongly so. Within the scope of the Architecture Summer 2009, the Museum of Work shows that the bridges are far more than just functional constructions.

I love this image because the use of shadows, lines and distance creates a intense black and white beautiful image. I love the lines on the side of the bridge because it looks like the image is 3D and the photo is getting thinner further down.
