To make your own shapeable ice pack: Mix 1 part rubbing alcohol with 3 parts water in a ziploc bag and put in the freezer. (The alcohol will prevent the water from freezing completely.) When it’s frozen, wrap with a towel or cloth of some sort and apply.
Use vicks vapor rub and socks. Even the worst cough can be stopped within 5-15 minutes, and lasts hours. Just apply the vapor rub generously to the bottom of your (or child's) feet, and cover with socks. works 100% of the time, and has been proven to work better than prescription drugs.
For a nagging cough. So simple you may doubt me but I have had awesome results… all you do is rub 4-6 drops of Eucalyptus oil on the soles of their feet and put on socks. Works for everyone The hacking husband…quiet. The asthma dry coughing boy…sleeping soundly. The sniffly coughing toddler….stopped waking herself up and slept through the night.
This was our miracle cure last night! Alex didn't cough once after I have it to him. He has coughed once this morning. He told me "I am NOT doing that again", but after last night's results he will if I have to pour it down myself!
No sinus infections in the house for years. When we get stuffed up we get relief in under a minute, and it doesn't settle or move into the chest. Inhale it from the bottle, or put a few drops on a tissue or cotton swab to carry around/ sleep with. When it is all of us I put 20 drops or so with a cup or 2 of water and simmer on the stove for a few hours. That also prevents colds from spreading (antibacterial and antiviral). One person I know puts it in her vacuum when she vacuums.
