This is such an effective way to teach Greek and Latin Roots! Using a trifold foldable. Kids create words, write sentences with context clues, take a little "test"....so much rigor, so little time spent in class. I am in LOVE!
Teaching in Room 6: Eureka!! Root Word Trifolds!!!
A game for 2 or 3 players. Each player chooses a color pencil they will use in the game. Players take turns rolling the dice, using the numbers that they rolled to draw the perimeter of a rectangle or square & writing the area in the middle of the shape. Game ends when players run out of room to draw. Winner is the player who has used the largest area/most squares.
Citing evidence; 3 columns; Direct Quote, Paraphrase, Idea from my own Mind...then discuss or write on which method best answers the question, should be eye opener for direct quote or citing text evidence
