BLUE PAINTED STEPBACK CUPBOARD - 19th c. New England, primitive pine, with robin's egg blue casein paint over gray, the interior in pale green, the upper cabinet with two doors, four shelves, the lower cabinet with a single door over two shelves, all with porcelain knob latches and original wooden thumb turns, 80" x 45" x 16", 35" to the 5" stepback. Old dry surface and use patina.
PAINTED GLAZED-DOOR CORNER CUPBOARD. Probably southern Indiana, mid 19th century, poplar. One-piece with two twelve-pane upper doors and two paneled lower doors, and resting on cutout feet. Retains an old blue paint over earlier yellow. Minor imperfections. 85 1/2"h. 49 1/2"w. 17 1/2"d., requires a 36" corner.
