In the Red Cross Parcels, there was 1/2lb of chocolate (not sure if it was Cadbury's Dairy Milk). Dad frequently mentions that "needless to say I am eating chocolate as I write this", in his letters home.

Pumping out the latrines, a daily occurrence.

Rations for meagre, a thin watery soup and a small potato or 2 boiled in it's jacket. Dad would never eat potatoes eaten in there skins again. Thank goodness for the Red Cross Parcels.
