On 10/26/13 the body of Leslie Bridges, a 24 y/o male, was found in the Des Plaines River near the I-80 bridge. Bridges lived at the Daybreak Shelter in Joliet at the time of his death. He and many of his associates at the time of his death are from the south suburbs of Chicago. JPD is still investigating the cause of Bridges’ death and the circumstances surrounding how his body got into the water. Anyone with info on Bridges’ death is asked to call Det. While checking for multiple shots fired in the area of Magnolia and Woodruff, Officers saw a subject lying motionless on the ground. The victim, Jordan Edwards, was unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. Multiple witnesses in the area told Detectives they heard the shots fired, but no one stated they witnessed the shooting. Officers responded to a call of four subjects being shot. Upon arrival, Officers observed All four (4) victims in the 100 Blk of Hobbs Ave. One of the victims, Jeremy Marble, died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen area. Witnesses states that a mid 1990's maroon Caprice may have been involved. Witnesses also state that the shooter was a light complexioned male black or a male Hispanic. Officers responded to the 500 blk of Fourth Ave. in reference to two subjects that had just been shot. On arrival Officers observed one of the victims, Jeff Faint Sr., had been shot in the neck. Witnesses at the scene advised that the shooter may have possibly been in a White Chevy Impala or in the alley just west of where the victim was shot. Officers on patrol on Center street heard a nearby gunshot. While investigating the gunshot they found a subject, later identified as Clarence Hogue Jr. 11/27/64, that had been shot once and had collapsed in the intersection of Center and Ruby Street. Witnesses stated they only heard one loud boom a few minutes before seeing lights from the squad cars responding to the area.
