We made it! Rope & wood shelves, Saw this and brought back memories of the one we made 33 years ago for our nursery. We placed baby quilts, blankets and stuffed animals on the shelves. The wood was painted yellow and only 4 shelves. We placed a knot in the rope under each wooden shelve to give it more character and it didnt hang this low to the floor..it was EASY...

Upright bookshelves laid down for storage under bed. Find a set of perfectly sized baskets to fit in the little space between the shelves & connect them up so you can push several underneath the bed & still retrieve them when needed. @ Home DIY Remodeling

Keeping stuff under the bed totally makes sense, if you need to maximize storage in your bedroom. However beds with drawers under them can be expensive. Here’s a DIY solution! Turn two sturdy bookshelves on their sides and use them as legs. Then build the bed frame on top of them.
