Haddon Hall started being built in the 11th century when William the Conquerer gave the land to one of his bastard sons. Additions continued for the next 800 years. If it looks familiar it was where parts of The Princess Bride were filmed.

Windsor Castle--William the Conquerer had this tower built; it's the oldest structure on the grounds.
