Yesterday was the last day of the #srtlent study on Jonah. I have loved seeing everyone's fantastic whales and I have learned so much! I used to compare myself to Jonah in the way that I thought I had made God unhappy with a choice I had made and I was just waiting to be swallowed up by the whale. I never looked beyond that part of the story. I missed so much! I missed the most important part. I missed Gods unrelenting pursuit of me, of his undeserving grace and mercy for me, of his promise to

Jonah always makes me want to sigh and shake my head, as if I've never intentionally run from something God has called me to. The thing I love about the book of Jonah, though, is that it is a beautiful picture of God's unrelenting love and mercy for us. Today in the #SRTlent study, we saw that once He has called us, He will pursue us until we obey that calling. His love for us is as overwhelming as a raging sea, and His desire is to bless us by using us as a blessing to others. ❤️
