The Beth Chatto Gardens - Woodland Garden. The Beth Chatto Gardens began in 1960. From an overgrown wasteland with poor gravel soil and boggy hollows, it has been transformed into an informal garden harmonising with the surrounding countryside. The gardens are an inspiration to anyone who visits them - the art of planting at its best.
Shade garden - Black Mondo Grass. I absolutely LOVE this stuff. Imagine it growing as a border for flowering plants with bright colors. Also makes a great mass planting surrounded by a stone border. Or in planters or flower boxes for contrast.
Getting into some of the annuals that we will be using. Mostly in the "planter box" area near the "outdoor living room" space. Annuals will allow us to get bold, long lasting flowers and tropical foliage.
